And this is why men should remove pens from their shirt pockets before cuddling!
We were staying at the Ambassador Hotel, which is on the edge of the Quarter near the Warehouse/Art District which featured exposed pipes and brick walls–very shabby chic! We also had a lovely view of a brick wall, but that was actually kinda funny. Being so near everything we decided to wander around to find dinner and didn’t really realize how upscale Cuvee was until we were seated. There was a sign in the window “appropriate dress required” but apparently that wasn’t coat and tie, it must have just meant no jeans. Still, it was a yummy meal, good wine, and, yes, the duck dish was literally called “The Duck.”
The other night we were watching Iron Chef America and the challenger was actually the chef from Cuvee! Pretty cool, huh?
That’s problem with spontaneity, no time to plan ahead. I went to a steakhouse called “Jimmy Kelly’s” in Nashville this past weekend and I felt very under dressed. It’s hard not to when you have on jeans with a polo shirt and the wait staff has black slacks and white linen jackets.
