There was, as I'm sure you could guess, more to the conversation in panel 3 (it could be it's own strip almost) and yes, I really did think some of those unflattering things and many more. It's important to understand that many people, due to lack of insurance, are forced to use the emergency room for the most routine medical issues if the walk-in clinics won't take them for whatever reason. They've since opened an Urgent Care facility for the non-emergency issues, but I'm not sure if the situation is really any better.Â

And just in case anyone was wondering, the promises made in Tuesday's blog post were _not_ meant to be jokes. Posting anything truthful on April Fool's Day is a always chancey, so I just thought I'd mention here: no, really, all that stuff is gonna happen!
