Guest List of 2. First we procrastinated by going out for sushi, then we had as much fun as possible while throwing things into boxes for several hours. And since she had a roommate that we _weren’t_ packing up, it was a matter of working around some things until he got it together and started to pack-up as well.
I really like some of the poses I managed to capture here (without the use of photo reference even!) but I’m still not 100% sold on the arc of black/white in the background on the bottom. On the one hand it looks unfinished, on the other it doesn’t detract from the figure in the panel. Don’t think I’ll be using the technique often; it was an experiment.
So the box that those headlights were in only just got unpacked last week.
If I drew a strip, it’d be tallying all the crap the roommate left behind. Approx. 13 dirty socks, 45 empty soda bottles and cups, 1 DVD of questionable content…
Hmmm… I’ll have to remember that when I do the extra strips for the Year 2 book 🙂
Augh. I’d rather not remember any of that, to be honest! I think it’s because of that roommate’s nuclear disaster messiness problem that I am so completely anal about keeping my bedroom here at home clean. The only things on my bedroom floor are my flipflops, and only because I wear them around the house.
You know, I had the same response after my first bout of roommates. In high school (as previously depicted here in the strip) I was horribly cluttered, hated cleaning up, etc. After living with 3 other girls for a year I became a neat-nick like you wouldn’t believe! Of course, there’s still the Abyss… like Monica’s messy hall closet on Friends (we all need our outlet!).
